Las Leñas: Snowboard

Las Leñas ski center has the ideal conditions in ground and snow quality for the practice of snowboard, which is a relatively new sport that every year gets more fans.

Although snowboard seems a difficult sport, it can be learned by persons of every age, starting from 5 years old. The snowboard school has specialized instructors with wide knowledge of snowboard techniques to train their students in a fun and secure way.

The school gives group classes of 4 persons from 13 years old. The duration is of two hours and a half, and they are shorter if there are fewer students.

The classes are in packages of six or ten hours to distribute in lessons of two hours in a week, half day or a full day. The duration of classes must be at least of two hours.

For a quick and fun learning, the snowboard school has daily lessons from 5 hours distributed in two turns in the morning and the afternoon.

Finally, the school offers lesson in three days and a half and six days.

Children Lessons:

The school gives group lessons to children, from Sunday to Friday and can be taken in three, five or six days. The lessons are of 5 hours long, divided in two and a half in the morning and two and a half in afternoon. All the children must use their helmet in every lesson.

The meeting point before every lesson is in the center of the base, next to the snowman and are ending in Olimpos, at the same place.

The training in snowboard can start at five years old and the snowboard school has classes for groups of no more than 4 students, with special activities designed by their capacities and including games, time for rest and less physical exigency. All of them have to practice with wristbands to avoid injuries.

For children from 8 years old, the snowboard school has group classes for kids of every level of training.

The school also has a test for the kids in an advanced level to introduce them to a Freestyle lesson, where they can learn tricks in the snowparks or ski runs and always practice with wristbands.

Freestyle:

Ski center Las Leñas offers ski lessons for intermediate and advanced level of Freestyle, to increase the knowledge of the snowboard.

To take the lessons, the students must do a test first, to probe their skills in snowboard. The classes are of two hours and a half long and the use of helmet and wristbands during them is obligatory.
