Castor Mountain is the most exclusive ski center in Argentina, located at 28 kms in the southernmost city of the world, Ushuaia. Because of its orientation to the south, Castor Mountain has the best snow quality, protected from the heating of the sun and conserved in an excellent state.

Being in the 54 parallel, the temperatures are lower and constant, which gives the best kind of snow precipitations similar that can be found on Moscu, Rusia.

Castor Mountain has 24 ski runs and a snowpark, both located in the 600 skiable hectares of the ski center. In total, Castor Mountain has 24 kilometers of ski runs and a slope of more than 750 meters from the summit to the base of the mountain.

During summertime, this ski center works in the creation of the best ski runs for the next year, sowing grass on the hillside. Using this technique, in the moment of thaw is the same grass which keeps the snow for a longer time.

Castor Mountain has 5 snow groomers to fix every kind of ski runs in slopes, snowpark`s walls and difficult places. One of these machines rearranges the snow to completely cover Castor valley. Besides, Castor Mountain counts with 10 canyons to create artificial snow from the Base of mountain to 480 meters.

This ski centers counts with a rental ski of the highest quality and the most advanced lifts. There are also ski lessons in its Ski School for every ages and levels, as well as activities like snowboard and snowblade, among others.

Castor Mountain has the fourth place in the ranking of the best ski centers in all Argentina. Nearby there is Tierra del Fuego, with many tourism attractions and the city of Ushuaia, where visitors can find lodgings and another activities in the mountains of the south of the world.

To get to Castor Mountain ski center are many alternatives. One of them is take a flight to Ushuaia, arriving to the International Airport Islas Malvinas. From there are 26 kilometers to the ski center, that can be travelling in car and transfer.

Another alternative is taking a flight from Buenos Aires or Santiago de Chile to Mendoza and then transfer to Castor Mountain by bus.

The other choice is travel the distance 0f 3500 kilometers by a car through National Route number three from Buenos Aires to Castor Mountain ski center.
