HotelsThe weather in Las Leñas ski center is dry, with low and moderate temperatures during the day and very cold nights. The thermal oscilation are from 11 to -4 celsius degrees, however the real feel is 4 degrees less.
Located in the middle of an andean valley, between Torrecillas, El Collar, Negro, Los Fósiles and Ponce mountains, Las Leñas ski center counts with the best quality of powder snow in Base and in the summit and has a long snow season from june to october.
Las Leñas ski center for being a very high mountain has probabilities of avalanches, and for that reason the slopes are always monitored and skiers are advised of the dangers to slide without caution.
Besides the priviledged natural conditions, the complex has a modern system to fabricate artificial snow, with 30 snow cannons, 5 of them in aire, to full cover the mountain`s base and some ski runs.
