Las Leñas: Las Leñas Ski and Snowboard School

To bring the best service, the Ski School has 150 Argentinean and foreign instructors in this school with experience in United States and Europa centers. Even when the ski runs of this center are very extreme, there are also soft slopes grounds to the ones who are learning these sports.

The duration of the classes are of two and a half hours, the time that ensures the learning of the student, to develop a real progress to explore the snow in a secure and safe way.

The school offers the Easy Ski mode to beginners in the sport. In this technique, short and moderns skies are used to make the students learn fast and quickly go to the next intermediate level.

For beginners and children the lessons are 4 hours long, divided in two by the morning and two in the afternoon, to ensure a safe and efective learning of ski.

The school also gives group lessons to 7 or 10 persons of an intermediate and advanced level, for one week, where they can learn new techniques and explore the mountain in a fun way.

There's also a private lesson program with classes of two hours, in which the student can learn to ski in a personalized way and with full security. Besides, the lessons have a flexible schedule that depends on the time of the student.

Off piste ski lessons

Las Leñas is located in the middle of the Andes Mountain, which gives to it the best slopes off piste to practice extreme sports. The Ski School get the most of this and gives classes to learn how to explore this rough grounds, to discover the mountain from a new perspective.

One of these programs is called "Extreme Expedition" to expert skiers that will explore the mountain over the snow groomers with guides and lifeguards, discovering new and unexplored slopes with the best snow. This excursion lasts a full day and the use of helmet is recommended.

Heliski

Heliski is a ski variety that allows the best downhill through unexplored places of the mountain, observing the best views of an amazing landscape. The skiers must always practice this sport with helmet for their security.

Adapted Ski:

The ski school Las Leñas also has a program for ski learning to disable people. The classes are dictated by specialized and experienced instructors. The classes are for mentally disabled people, three footprints: for one leg disabled, four footprints: for two legs disabled, mono-ski for disabled people with strength in the upper body, bi-ski for disabled of all body and ski for blind people.

Children classes

The school has lessons for kids from all ages and levels of learning of the ski.

For babies: Las Leñas has a nursery for babies from 60 days to 18 months and full specialized personal to take care of them. The nursery is open from 09:15 to 17:30.

To preeschools from a year and a half and to three years and a half, Las Leñas has the Mini, a place where children can do their first snow exploration in an inner garden with ski boots. Specialized personal will take care and entertain them from 09:15 to 17:15.

The children of three to five years can ski in a special park for them, located at Las Leñas´s Base. This park is open from 09:15 to 17:15.

The kids of six to twelve years have their own ski school, with specialized instructors. Its facilities are located on Las Leñas`s Base and has independent entrance for kids of different levels. They are named Olimpo I, to beginners and Olimpo II, to children able to control the speed of their fall. There`s an entrance for Advanced too, to the children that already has ski knowledge and can turn in skies. When they are in the stage, will take a test in Eros I ski run to enter in another group depending on the skills

The classes are 5 hours long and can be taken on 3, 5 or 6 days.

The school also offers a training program in three areas: off piste ski, competition ski and jumps in slope style, and the kids from 10 years to 14 can take the lessons after an exam to probe their skills.

All fridays the children in ski school participate in a race where they can show their advances and learning, with prizes to the best skiers.

Ski Rental

Las Leñas ski center counts with 2000 new and modern ski equipments and 400 high technology snowboard equipment. It also has a workshop to fix boards.
