Chapelco Mountain: Infraestructure and surroundings

Chapelco Mountain has 29 ski runs. The ones on the Base are the best for beginners and the ski runs in the summit are called black runs and are perfect for the practice of snowboard. To get to the ski runs, the mountain counts with a modern system of lifts for elevation.

This ski center takes care of the security of its visitors, counting with patrols which Project the ski runs and others in one point to orient and advised to the skiers that are exploring the mountain.

For extreme skiers and snowboarders, Chapelco Mountain has a Snowpark, designed with all the obstacles to be the perfect place to practice freestyle. This Snowpark is located just few meters away from the lifts.

The ski center also counts a Ski and Snowboard School, with classes of different types of ski. All the instructors are specialized and prepared with european techniques, to bring the best quality of knowledge to their students.

For the non skiers, Chapelco Mountain also offers other activities to enjoy the mountain, like snow cats expeditions or slide in sledges with Siberian dogs.

Mountain Chapelco counts with a kid`s club, where children can learn how to ski while their parents enjoy the snow. The mountain has a nursery too for babies, with specialized teachers to take care of them with security and all the needed equipment for their entertainment.

The ski center also counts with seven lodges inside with coffee and cake shop service and restaurants to enjoy of the exquisite gastronomy of the zone with its typical sweets and roasted meats.

To ensure the best snow quality, this ski center has eight canyons that generate artificial snow, to cover the mountain from the base to the summit in case of lack of natural precipitations.

Chapelco Mountain also counts with a service of groomers, to keep the ski runs always in excellent conditions for skiers.

This ski center is located a few kilometers away from San Martín de los Andes, a tourism city will all the services that the skiers and snowboarders need. There are lodgings of all categories, different kinds of restaurants and transfers to center, airport and to San Carlos de Bariloche.

In San Martín de los Andes the visitors can enjoy of fishing, the main activity of the zone. There is also the possibility to do many other activities like trekking, volcanoes climbing, rafting, paragliding or hiking through the most amazing landscapes, so this place is perfect for anyone who wants to rest and enjoy the mountain.
