Castor Mountain: Snow and weather information
Castor Mountain offers an excellent quality of powder snow because of the constant winter temperatures, which allows a longer snow season, from middle June to middle October.
With moderated temperatures, the snow never get freeze and keeps in the state of powder, making of Castor Mountain the perfect place for winter sports, with the most incredible ski runs to slide.
Besides of this privileged kind of snow, the mountain has a system of artificial snow, with ten canyons from the Base to 480 meters, which can full cover every run of the hill.
Castor Mountain is distinguished because of its height; you can ski at sea's level. Krundt Hill, where this ski center is located has an elevation of 197 mts, allowing temperatures of moderate cold.
The temperatures are always oscillating between -2 or -4 degrees. Besides of this, the ski runs are in the south sector of the mountain, allowing keeping the snow better and longer, bringing the longest snow season of South America.
The high season in this ski center goes from July 12 to august 18. There is a middle season too from July 5 to July 11 and from august 19 to September 20. Then, the low season is between June 13 to July 4 and to September 21 from October 12.
