HotelsChapelco Mountain counts with many attractions for its visitors inside the ski center and also in the close city of San Martín de los Andes, a place with all the services and the amenities to enjoy of the snow and the mountain.
This complex is not just ski and snowboard, so there are different activities for the ones that don't practice snow sports like excursions in snowshoes, going into the lichen covered forest, that haven't suffer deforestation yet, like other ski centers.
Another interesting expedition is discover the mountain in snow cats, admiring the impressive landscape of the Lanin volcano at the bottom or to slide in sledge with Siberian dogs through the smooth hillsides of the mountain.
There are also another excursions to explore the amazing surroundings of the ski center like horse riding into the forest and the mountain, climbing to the Lanin volcano and expeditions to mapuche's lands, between other attractions to discover all the year.
In Chapelco Mountain there are many musical concerts and sport competition during the winter.
To delight with the best local gastronomy, Chapelco Mountain has a restaurant in the Base, with capacity for 240 personas and a warm atmosphere. The restaurant is heated with two chimneys and counts with a self service system and fast foods.
Inside the Base and the Lacar Club there is also Villa Mahuida Lodge, a place where the visitors can find the mountain style cooking with different kinds of stews, homemade confectionary and the most exquisite chocolates.
Other mountain lodge is La Casita del Bosque, the best place to enjoy the local cooking with the most beautiful surroundings outside.
The Antulauquen restaurant is located in 1600 meters and counts with a beautiful deck to watch the ski runs and the landscapes. Another place is the Rancho de Manolo, the best barbecue and confectionary place in Chapelco Mountain.
At 1720 meters there is the Graeff Lodge, a place with a privileged view which offers pizzas, confectionary and fast food. When the weather is favorable, the visitors can rest in its deck, watching the outstanding landscape of the mountain.
Another lodge is Pradera del Puma, where the visitors can taste its original and delicious specialties like pizza with champagne or the most incredible cake with hot chocolate.
