Batea Mahuida: Infraestructure and surroundings
The snow park counts with five lifts to elevate the skiers, three are portable ski lifts and the others two are in the main ski run. There are also ten patrolled ski runs for the safety of the skiers.
The main activity of this complex is ski and for this counts with a ski run of a longitude of 600 meters, starting at 1700 meters of elevation over the sea, with the best amount and quality of snow to snow sports.
This park also offers a Ski School, with instructors of the Puel community, expert in the techniques of this sport.
Inside the snow park there is a restaurant and coffee and cake shop, where all the visitors will enjoy with typical mapuche food like piñón, homemade bread and fried tarts. There are also patagonian specialties like hot chocolate, wine and even fast food.
In the coffee and cake shop the Puel community sells mapuche knitting, made with goat and sheep wool, like hats, gloves, scarfs, sockers, among others.
Batea Mahuida counts with a rental service with a limited number of equipments, so it is recommendable to the skiers that bring their own equipment.
The snow park counts with lodgings to the visitors besides of the large offer in Pehuenia Village, with different kind of hotels.
Batea Mahuida also has an information center, first aid rum, kioske and free parking area.
