Cerro Catedral

This mountain is the most advanced ski center in Argentina and South America. It offers the best services in ski for beginners, intermediates or skilful sportsman, ski rentals and trails for all levels, besides the many alternatives in lodging and entertainment for its proximity to San Carlos de Bariloche.

This ski center counts with a unique ski pass to access to every run in the complex and the most extensive skiable surface in South America, with 1200 hectares. The fifty percent of this terrain are runs for all levels, easily reachable by the center's Base.

Catedral Alta Patagonia has 40 lifts, with a lift capacity for more than 3 skiers in an hour. Other attraction of this center is the Terrain Park, where the skilful skiers and snowboarders can practice their lifts and jumps, watching the most beautiful mountain landscapes.

This mountain is also the perfect place to relax and enjoy the beauties of Patagonia. Inside the center is Las Terrazas Shopping Center, a commercial gallery with food court and ski rentals and Plaza Amancay Complex, where are tourism offices and specialized ski stores.

Catedral Alta Patagonia is 20 minutes away from San Carlos de Bariloche, the most important tourism center in Argentinean Patagonia. It has many lodging alternatives and there the visitors can discover ancient places, rivers and lakes, enjoy the local kitchen with its famous sweets and meats and explore all the adventure in mountain.

The mountain has two medical centers in case of disease or any fractures during the ski practice.

With a height of 2100 meters, Catedral Alta Patagonia counts with the most impressive views of Los Andes Mountain and patagonian rivers and lakes, besides the best quality in snow services for their trajectory and experience.

Catedral Alta Patagonia is located 19 kilometers southwest from San Carlos de Bariloche, so to reach the mountain; visitors must to get first to the city.

The flights are the best alternative to transfer to the ski center. Some of them are from Buenos Aires and in high season, some airlines offers flights from Chile, Brazil and Uruguay too.

If the travel is by a car, go to Bustillo Avenue until you get to 8 kilometers cross. Then there's a paved 30 kilometers road to get to Catedral Mountain and it has a free parking for 960 vehicles.

There's a regular bus service from Bariloche to get to Catedral Mountain and other alternatives to get are taxis, guided tours, excursions, remises, etc. The mountain is opened from 9:00 until 17:00.
